Budgetary Debates Continue at Joint Sittings of RA NA Standing Committees

On June 6, at the joint sitting of the RA NA Standing Committees on European Integration and on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs moderated by Arman Yeghoyan and Mane Tandilyan the annual report on the RA State Budget Execution for 2018 was debated.

The Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan noted that 18 programmes were implemented at the expense of loan means.

According to the RA Minister of Foreign Affairs Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, during the financial year a number of important achievements were registered in the RA-EU relations.

Touching upon Armenia-European Union Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement, the Minister would completely enter into force after reaching to end the ratification procss by the EU all member states. He underlined that in 2018 an Inter-Institutional Committee coordinating the events providing the application of the RA-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement and the Armenia-European Union Partnership priorities document, within the frameworks an Agreement Application Road Map and implementation of the approximation process of the sphere.

According to the speaker, during the first sitting of the RA-EU Partnership Committee the European Union held in November of 2018 approved his support in the process of the reforms being implemented by the Government of Armenia, underlining that the application of the RA-EU Agreement would become a main tool for the reforms and modernization, would help for the involvement of the investment and provide distinct uses for the citizens of the EU, as well as our country.

Zohrab Mnatsakanyan also touched upon the process of the entry visa liberalisation dialogue to the EU countries for the RA citizens.

The Minister has noted that the RA inter-institutional delegation envisages certain visits to a number of EU member countries to boost the launch of the visa liberalisation dialogue.

The speakers also answered the parliamentarians’ raised questions, which related to the visa liberalisation to the EU countries, the monitoring of free possessing grants, the decrease of the number of the RA citizens’ number asking for asylum in the EU countries, the engagement of the Armenian community on the national problems, etc.
